FLATHEADS
If your fretboard extends past the edge of the soundhole you just need to supply the dimensions of the soundhole. North-South and East-West. This modification is an additional $10. First select the LuteHole you want and add it to your shopping cart. Choose the size based on your soundhole width from the high E string side to the low E-string side. Then come to this page to add a flathead modification to your order by entering the north-south and east-west measurements below and clicking the add to cart button.
VOLUME CONTROLS
If you have volume and/or tone controls in your soundhole we can make a modification to allow access. If you have a single volume control in the exact center of the soundhole we will not need a tracing. Otherwise you will need to supply a tracing of the soundhole with an indication where the controls are and the edges of the fretboard. This modification is an additional $15.
CUSTOM DESIGNS
If you want to design your own soundhole cover or feature your name or logo just send us a computer file. The cost will be determined by the complexity of the design and how much work needs to be done to your computer file to make it work. Vector artwork is preferred and will result in a discounted price. In general custom designs cost $80 - $150.
PLASTIC BACKING
If you would like us to attach a disk of hard black plastic to the underside of your sound hole cover so that there are no openings (it will still look like a regular Lute Hole). The cost is an additional $10. First find the Lute Hole you want and add it to your shopping cart, then come to this page and click the button below to add plastic backing to your order:
MUTE HOLES
These are completely solid soundhole covers with no design. $30 for maple or walnut.
$65 for rosewood. Prices reflect standard 4" size - add $16 for other sizes.
LUTE LOOPS
These are solid wood rings with no design in the middle that follow the contour of your soundhole and provide protection from pick damage.
$29 - $40 for maple or walnut.
$65 for rosewood.
THE LENNY
These are designed to fit in the soundhole with your existing soundhole pickup.
$65 for maple or walnut.
